Acne Free Severe is a product found in grocery stores that is supposed to be an upgrade of the original Acne Free. Acne Free is apparently supposed to be better than Proactiv. But Acne Free Severe is meant to be better than either one, and it can work for more serious and severe cases of acne than you experienced or could fight with Acne Free.
They use an ingredient called retinol. This form of vitamin A will encourage the skin cells to replace and overturn themselves at a higher rate of action. So this means that you will potentially be able to get rid of more acne than you would with benzoyl peroxide alone.
Unfortunately, this formula will still cause the side effects associated with benzoyl peroxide as well as those associated with retinol. Moreover, adding one ingredient doesn't suddenly make it overwhelmingly powerful or anything like that. This formula actually shows the same results or in other words it doesn't really show results for many people.
We would not recommend using Acne Free Severe. It's not worth your time or money and it won't actually give you the results you are looking for. It isn't any better than the original Acne Free, and it may well cause more side effects. That is about the only real difference.
